Nova House Publications Limited Cookie Policy (“Cookie Policy”)

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Nova House Publications Limited ("we", "us", "our") uses them on our website (novaeducation.uk and any subdomains) (the "Website"), and the choices you have.

This Cookie Policy should be read alongside, and in addition to, our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, smartphone, or other device when you access the internet. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the website owners.

Cookies are not harmful to your device. They cannot be used to run programmes or deliver viruses, and they cannot access other information stored on your device.

In this policy, "cookies" also covers similar technologies that store information on your device or read it, such as local storage.

The Website does not set any cookies of its own. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not store information in your browser's local storage. Our fonts and images are served from the Website itself.

Because of this, we do not show a cookie banner. If we add anything that needs your consent, we will ask for it first and update this policy.

Two features involve other companies and can set cookies: the booking calendar (section 4) and the spam check on our forms (section 5). Links to other websites (section 6) are also covered below.

We use Umami, an analytics service, to count visits to the Website and see which pages are useful. Umami does not use cookies. It records the pages visited, the website that referred you, your browser, operating system and device type, and your approximate location. It does not store your IP address with these records, and it does not follow you across other websites. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we do not count your visit.

The home page and the tutoring page offer a free 30-minute consultation. The calendar is provided by Calendly. It is not loaded when you open the page. It loads only when you choose "Show the booking calendar".

When you show the calendar, your browser loads Calendly's page inside ours. Calendly and the companies it uses may then set cookies on your device. When we tested the calendar, these were set:

Our contact, enquiry, bulk order and tutor application forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programmes. It runs in your browser when a form is on the page and sends a one-time token to us with your submission.

By default Turnstile does not set a cookie. Cloudflare says the signals it uses are necessary to detect and block bots. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum. What you type into a form is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.

Our "Buy On Amazon" buttons, the "Open it on Calendly" link and some other links take you to other websites. Once you follow a link, that website's own cookies and policies apply. We do not control them, so please read their policies.

The Website does not set cookies of its own, so there is nothing to switch on or off here. Third-party cookies from the booking calendar appear only if you choose to show it. To stop your visits being counted, turn on Do Not Track in your browser.

Browser Controls: You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies, and to delete cookies that are already on your device. If you choose to reject cookies via your browser, you may still use our Website, though the booking calendar may not work.
